The Owl & the Pussycat

These are pages from my new illustrations for Edward Lear's classic nonsense rhyme.I love the humour and atmosphere of the verse and as I wanted to illustrate a children's classic for part of my Master's project it seemed to fit the bill. I have had a lot of fun designing the characters.

New prints for I see the sea

Here are the pages I have completed so far for my counting book with a hole. I have made traditional prints (no Photoshop!) using relief printing and paper cuts on Murano paper, which comes in beautiful blending colours.

Another version of I See the Sea...

These are spreads from a counting book with a hole that I'm currently working on, the final artwork will be relief prints. I used colour paper to make the dummy book as it was easier than starting with lots of printmaking! Because the book has a hole it is quite technical and I'm still trying to iron out all the problems, hoping it will be ready for my Master's hand-in date of 6 Jan!!
